THE ADVANTAGE OF ARMORGUARD FOR RESURFACING POOLS
With a high yield
polymer such as ARMORGUARD, it is a 100% epoxy with titanium,
for better durability and flexibility. With polymer and
fiberglass, concrete or plaster coatings then dry from the
bottom up, which cause hydration which is water, air and metals
airing outward, pushing on the new coating that has been
applied, causing pin holes to appear, causing the new coating to
de-laminate. With ARMORGUARD resin it is one of the only
coatings that films from the top and dries downward, making it a
non-porous material, stopping a portion of the hydration. The
N.A.P. matting seals the concrete, steel, and fiberglass
permanently, stopping back penetration. A coating without any
N.A.P. matting is just paint. Also, epoxy is one of the only
engineered materials that will bond to concrete. Polyester or
regular fiberglass does not bond to concrete. We remove this
type of system all the time.
